I’m currently working on a major new version of the datatool package. This may take a while. Please be patient. (Experimental version available for testing.)

Description

I know there is disagreement about whether midnight and noon are AM or PM, respectively.

However, it seems inconsistent that the attached MWE interprets both

  \DTMdisplaytime{12}{30}{0}
and
  \DTMdisplaytime{0}{30}{0}
as AM. Interestingly,
  \DTMdisplaytime{24}{30}{0}
is interpreted as PM.

\documentclass[british]{article}

\usepackage[useregional=text,showdow,datesep=/]{datetime2}

\begin{document}

\DTMsettimestyle{englishampm}
\noindent\DTMdisplaytime{12}{30}{0}\\
\DTMdisplaytime{00}{30}{0}\\
\DTMdisplaytime{24}{30}{0}

\end{document}
