Description
I am referring to this question (and answer): https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/633108Ulrike posted a workaround and mentioned that it is a bug in glossaries. Personally, I do not have the skills to check if that is true :).
MWE

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{shellesc}
\usepackage[acronym, automake, xindy]{glossaries-extra}
%\usepackage[acronym, automake=immediate, xindy]{glossaries-extra}
\newacronym{test}{TEST}{This is a test}
\makeglossaries
\begin{document}
\gls{test}
\printglossary[type=\acronymtype]
\end{document}Evaluation
This is a duplicate of #196. The problem is with glossaries not glossaries-extra.
